FAQ

  • What is Depression Proof Your Life?
"Depression Proof Your Life" is a mental health and wellness initiative created by you, Marian Mills. It’s based on her personal journey—from struggling with decades of depression, anxiety, alcoholism, and other mental challenges to achieving long-term sobriety, mental clarity, and strength. Now with 7 years sobers, she's turned her lived experience into a mission to help others break the silence, take control of their environment, behavior, and reduce the severity of depressive symptoms and episodes through intentional lifestyle changes. Depression Proof Your Life is not a replacement for professional medical or mental health care. It is a complementary lifestyle program that supports what you may already be doing in therapy, treatment, or recovery by helping you build sustainable habits and a supportive mindset. “Depression proofing” isn’t about guaranteeing a life without depression—it’s about creating intentional habits, routines, and environments that reduce the risk, severity, and frequency of depressive episodes. It’s a proactive, daily approach to supporting mental health and emotional well-being.
